Hartford Lab was officially forged in November of 2012 while our founder was in college.

We had political origins, but quickly grew into a business development firm for all kinds of startups.

Over the years, HL worked in a wide-array of capacities along a spectrum ranging from pre-funded ideas to venture-backed startups to publicly traded companies .

It has been an exciting experience.

HL's portfolio of past and active ventures spans a variety of industries in software and hardware, including biotech, consumer products, data, entertainment, mobile apps, health, Internet of Everything, marketplace, social networks, SaaS and AI.

We've developed many skills along the way, learned a lot of lessons, and are proud of our work. ​

From our own returns, Hartford Lab had the resources to begin focusing on creating new ventures internally and accelerating research and development.

Today, we are a venture studio that creates new technologies, builds companies and funds that life cycle.

We're now over 10 years in, and very motivated for the next decade.

(1) As a venture studio we continue to fuel our own ventures, and are excited to bring new technologies to market in 2023.

(2) Our production company (Winks) is actively developing original projects for TV and Film (including Delphi).

(3) Originated out of HL, Entropy Ventures is a 1st check angel fund backing brave founders transforming old industries or creating new ones.

Hartford Lab has continued to bloom into an increasingly dynamic enterprise.

As we look towards the future, we hope this trend continues.

We like to remind ourselves that ​“the future is built" and only once the 1st time. We find purpose and energy in seeking to play our small part.
